Abstracts for oral and poster presentations must be limited to 300 words in single spacing using Times New Roman font size 12. The title should be in capital letters, bold and 14 point. The names of authors, their affiliations and the email address of the corresponding author should appear below the title font 12. If there is more than ONE author, please underline the presenting author. Only registered participants who have paid their registration fees will have their abstracts published and documented. One registered participant is entitled to ONLY one entry for a paper/poster submission. Status of oral and poster presentation will be notified by the Scientific committee of MSMPS 2016.

Abstract to be written in British English. Length should not be more than 300 words. The abstract should have a 1.5 inch left border and a 1 inch border for top, right and bottom. The text in abstract should be prepared in single spacing and justified using Arial font 11. The abstract should include introduction, objectives, results and conclusion. No figures, tables and references to be included in abstract. Abstracts will be subject to minimal editing; therefore, it is advised that the text be proof read and camera ready before submission.

 

For those who are interested to submit a full research article for publication under Penerbit UKM, kindly submit your manuscripts in English to the MSMPS2016 Secretariat (microps2016@gmail.com) by 30 July 2016. The manuscript should have the following sections: Abstract - no more than 300 words, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements, and References. The whole manuscript should be no longer than 15 pages. Each student participant is only allowed one manuscript submission. No manuscripts will be entertained from non-Seminar participants. Please visit the Malaysian Journal of Microbiology website for guidelines to prepare your manuscript. Full papers that have been reviewed and accepted for publication will be published as a compilation of papers in a book in 2017.

Posters should be presented in PORTRAIT orientation, A1 (594 x 841 mm) size..

 

STUDENT PRESENTERS 

 

Best Student Oral and Poster Award: Papers that are based on independent research of graduate students presenting their work are eligible for the Best Student Poster and Oral Awards. The abstract must be identified as a student paper at the time of abstract submission. The award is given based on the quality of the written abstract and the work presented. Posters will be judged and three Best Poster Awards will be given away for each field. Three overall Best Oral Awards will also be given away.
